How it works

The work changes.
The hours stay with it.

Employees tap the job they are working on. MinuteMill records their time against that job, so managers can see where the labor hours went without collecting and entering paper timesheets.

On the floor

Start. Stop. Switch.

Open MinuteMill in a phone's browser and sign in. The available jobs are right there. No app to install and no walk across the building to a shared time clock.

For the employee

Start. Switch. Stop.

One active job at a time, with every change recorded.

Step 1 of 4

Alex is signed in and ready to choose a job.

Illustrative walkthrough. Times are examples; this demo does not record work.

01 / Start

Tap the job you are doing.

A job card starts your timer. The entry records who is working, which job they chose, and when they started.

02 / Stop

Stop when you leave the job.

Tap the current job or the stop button when you finish or take a break. That stretch of time stays in your history.

03 / Switch

Moving on? Tap the next job.

MinuteMill stops the old timer and starts the next one together. Each employee has one running job at a time.

Built for a working day

Close the page.
Keep the timer.

Your start and stop times are saved on the server. The timer does not depend on keeping a browser tab open. Lock the phone or close the page; your current job keeps running. When you return, MinuteMill reads your saved status and catches up.

You need an internet connection to start, stop, switch, or save a note. If you lose the connection, the current timer continues until a stop or switch is successfully saved. Check the screen's confirmation before moving on.

Forgot to stop? Ask your manager to correct the entry. The original times and the reason for the correction are kept with it.

At the desk

Useful hours, without retyping them.

Add jobs, invite employees, and review their recorded time from your company's workspace. Start with a few jobs or import your existing job spreadsheet.

For the manager

The hours add up. Automatically.

Two people on one job for one hour means two labor hours.

Check who has a timer running. Filter the Hours report by date, employee, or job to review the work that matters.

Keep the explanation with the time.

Employees and managers can add notes to a running or past entry. Waiting for material or finishing a batch does not have to become a mystery later.

Take the numbers with you.

Export a CSV of recorded hours. Get a daily email recap at 6:00 PM by default, or choose another send time in Settings.

People's time, added up

Two people. One hour. Two labor hours.

If Alex and Jordan both spend an hour assembling the same frame, MinuteMill records an hour for each person. The job has used two labor hours, even though only one hour passed on the clock.

That is the number you need when reviewing labor used on a job. Add optional hourly labor costs to employee accounts to see recorded labor cost alongside the hours. Those rates are visible to managers.
