When MinuteMill fits
Your team needs to record how much labor went into each job. Employees use their phone’s browser; managers review hours, notes, and optional labor costs, then export a CSV or read the daily recap.
Compare job time trackers
Hubstaff combines time tracking with activity reporting, workforce analytics, payments, and integrations. MinuteMill keeps the routine focused on job hours: employees start, stop, or switch in a browser, and managers review the time by job and person.
One manager and one employee included free. No credit card required to start.

Consider Hubstaff when time tracking needs to connect with activity reporting, project budgets, payments, or a distributed team’s other software. Hubstaff supports desktop, web, and mobile time capture; choosing browser access alone does not distinguish MinuteMill from every Hubstaff workflow.
Read Hubstaff’s product overviewUse one employee and a few recognizable job numbers first. Practice starting, switching, and stopping for a break. Review the first day together before bringing the rest of the team on.
Both products can help record time. The useful comparison is what else your workflow needs.

For job-based work, start with the information you actually need. If it is the job number, the person, and the labor hours, try MinuteMill’s short routine. If you need activity analysis or payment workflows around those hours, evaluate Hubstaff’s broader feature set and the plan that includes it.
MinuteMill records employee labor hours. It does not calculate wages, payroll taxes, or overtime rules. If those are part of your purchase decision, check the complete workflow you need before choosing.

Hubstaff is a separate product. MinuteMill is provided and operated by Syllable Agency LLC.
In MinuteMill, a manager can correct the entry and record the reason. The original start and stop times are retained with the correction. Employees can add notes to explain what happened, but cannot edit their own recorded times.
Closing the page or locking a phone keeps the current timer running. Starting, stopping, switching, and saving notes require an internet connection. The getting started guide shows how to set up the first jobs and review the first day.
